Virginia is lovers but is also a place where kids can have fun with reading! On October 7, 2019 at 3:30 at the Park Place Peace Garden in Norfolk, VA (across from James Monroe Elementary), a ribbon-cutting was held for the “Little Library”to promote the fundamental of reading for kids.

“I needed for kids to get excited for reading again,” stated Lindsey who is also a local author in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

Unlike other young and local authors, he donated his free anti-bullying comic books at the event.  The library was built by local students where 300 books were donated from the Norfolk Public Libraries.  A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange designed for local children in the area.  According to  WAVY TV 10 in Portsmouth, VA, Lindsey wanted the kids to have an outlet and when they come out to the event, he wants to encourage them.

Norfolk already have twenty of the little libraries, so anyone who is up for the challenge in their community anywhere across the globe who wants to build a little library, this project will really benefits kids in the literacy of reading and learning.

Lindsey works with a non-profit called Project Life which tutors students from zero to fifth grade.  This partnership allows students all over to take part of this wonderful program and even cater to people who have dropped out of high school and want to obtain their GED.
