This book by Monique Favors is a very powerful testimony that talks about her journey living with Sickle Cell Disease.  The author explains throughout each excerpt and chapter that pain shouldn’t define who you are.  As a warrior Monique reminded the readers that she can conquer anything and will not fail as a mother, a friend, a wife, etc.  I applaud her because through everything she has been through such as the rapes and the massive sickle cell pain crises, it’s really a blessing that she is still pressing forward in her life.  With the birth of her first daughter Trinity, to her son and her youngest daughter Bryanne-Marie, she has shown strength through God’s amazing grace.  I definitely recommend this book not only for warriors living for sickle cell, but EVERYONE! This is a testimony that a lot of people can relate to.
