Guest Post by Author Keywana Wright “Faith Over Fear”

“And he said unto, them why are you so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith”?

Mark 4:40

Let’s look at the word Fear”. Fear is defined by Webster Dictionary, “as an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by expectation or awareness of danger”. 2.Worry.
The World is currently under high alert due to the rapid spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVI D-19). It is an infectious disease that attacks the human respiratory system. The preventive measures given are to stay at least 6 feet from another person and wash your hands often. The State of Michigan as well as other states has passed into law “The Stay at Home” law .People are only allowed to go out to the grocery stores, pick up medications, and to receive any life supporting medical services.
Many people are fearful for their lives as well as their family lives’. Many have lost their lives to the virus. It is unknown how long this virus will be “uncurable”. Schools and mostly all non-essential business have closed.
You may ask yourself how I can have faith at a time like this? I want to share with you how you can combat FEAR with FAITH.
What is FAITH? My definition of Faith is believing in God or a higher being. You may not see the outcome, but you know everything will work out favorable.
Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
Let’s look at a story in the Bible about a man name Lazarus who Jesus raised from the dead after 4 days. It was a dead situation which was impossible for men. But with God all things are possible. Jesus bought Lazarus back to life.
What are you believing God for right now? God can make what seems impossible for men is possible with God.
I want to inspire you today. Even though things around you may look dreary and no hope. Never give up and never stop believing! Our God is Mighty, and Our God is Strong! He can deliver you out of a dreadful situation. He has come that you may have life and that more abundantly John 10:10. Keep the faith and look to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith( Hebrew 12:12)
There are three verses that will turn your fear into faith.
  1. But with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26
  2. Fear thou not; for I am with thee be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
3. I will never leave you, nor forsake you said the Lord. Hebrews 13:5.
Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank you Lord for your promises that you will be with us always. Thank you for being a keeper. Be with us this day and protect us from all diseases and illness. Help us to turn our fear unto faith. Lord, always help us to trust even through these difficult times. We pray for those who may have been affected by this virus. Lord you are a healer. We pray for the families that may have lost a love one. We know you are the great comforter. In Jesus Name Amen
