Erica T Sherrill is the author behind A Thin Line Trilogy Series. She is a stylist, film producer, podcaster, entrepreneur, and playwright. Her work as a playwright has become popular over the years, with her production performing at Colleges and theatre stages. BLAQVERSITY MAGAZINE: How did your journey as an author began?
ERICA SHERRILL: It begins in 2016 when I wrote my first novel of my book series entitled “A Thin Line Between Love & Obsession “
BLAQVERSITY: Was becoming a writer something, you always wanted to pursue?
ERICA: Yes, it was, exactly as a little girl I started off writing journals then as I got older, I am being writing skits, stage play then converted into novels.
BLAQVERISTY: What are some of your favorite authors out right now?
ERICA: Kristen Roberts
BLAQVERSITY: Since becoming a published author, what challenges have you faced if any?
ERICA: None, I am currently a publisher as well if that help.
BLAQVERSITY: How many books have you written? What is your genre?
ERICA: Ten books, Non-fiction, Fiction, Children’s, Self- Help.
BLAQVERSITY: What message do you want your readers to take away when reading your books?
ERICA: Inspirations every aspects of life.
BLAQVERSITY: Do you have any writing tips/suggestions for any new author who wants to write their book but doesn’t know where to start?
ERICA: Don’t settle your self short and if you don’t invest in your own work no one else will.
BLAQVERSITY: Are you currently working on any new book projects? If so, when can we expect them to be released?
ERICA: Yes a Children’s Book Entitled “Today Is The Day” and it will be released May 3rd.
BLAQVERSITY: What does be an author mean to you?
ERICA: Being an entertainer to day- dreamers.
BLAQVERSITY: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
ERICA: Completing my movie that’s an adaptation of my romance novel.
BLAQVERSITY: Have you ever thought about being an author full-time?
ERICA: Indeed !
BLAQVERSITY: If you could co-author with any author in the world, who would it be and why? ERICA: Not currently, working independently is more of my style .
BLAQVERSITY: Tell us about your marketing strategies as an author? Do you find it to be challenging at times when promoting your books?
ERICA: Not at all due to me having several businesses.
