Have You Asked God First?

Written by Keywana Wright

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy path. Proverbs 3:4-5

Just the other day while attending a virtual bible study online, I hear this question “Do you always ask God first?” Do you include God in every decision you make? Do you seek him before you purchase a new purse or pair of shoes? Do you seek him in your personal relationships in dating and in marriage? Do you seek God’s wisdom concerning your health and eating healthy? Do you seek him regarding which medications to take or not? Have you sought God concerning who you should choose as your physician? Did you seek God before you take that course? Do you seek God before you begin studying the word of God?

I must admit I have struggled at times to seek God in every area of my life. I found myself praying only when I was in trouble or when I cannot do it by myself. But when it was something as simple as buying a new outfit I did not consult God. I should have sought him when I made those purchases. Maybe I would not have ended up with high credit card balances.  When you acknowledge God in every area of your life you will prosper and have good success. God is waiting on you to seek him out and ask him for guidance in every area of your life. Next time when you must plan or make a purchase at the store, ask God first. He is waiting to hear from you.

Let us pray,
Heavenly Father I thank you for this day. I pray that you will order my steps in your word. I submit every plan and desire I have this day. Lord lead and guide me. I pray that your will be done. Amen
