Book Review: Fame by Robert Horton
Versafi Magazine has gotten a chance to interview Robert Horton back in June to learn more about his writing journey. With Fame being his third book of poetry, it is quite impressive how a person has a lot of creative thoughts in their mind and put it in a book for someone to read it. While reading Fame, it really opened some doors of inspiration and encouragement. This is the perfect book for this pandemic we are in right now while the world is filled with darkness and sadness. The book started out with the poem called A Better Me. The author inserts an inspirational quote after each poem. The quote on the first page is by the late Tupac Shakur. “Take the evil out the people they’ll be acting right”
He also used a lot of bible scriptures on each page as well which is very helpful. I caught myself highlighting some of the scriptures because they are very familiar passages that speak out the most. One for instance I chose was “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of it’s own” Mathew 6:34 This book is really a great tool for anyone who need encouragement or is looking for a great book to read. I highly recommend this book to book readers and lovers.
